I’m loving this MBX Road Trip series of cars. This 2002 is one of my favorites, but it wouldn’t be surprised if they top it . And it’s nice to see a Mazda that isn’t a Miata or RX-7, even if it is an SUV; I’m not going to hold my breath for an affordable Premacy.
At first I was thinking that I was disappointed that there weren’t as many great models like these when I was a kid, then I realized that I wouldn’t have been able to afford as many as I buy these days, they might have been painted or modified instead of left original , or worst case (like a lot I no longer have) given away. This is a golden age we’re living in.

Surprisingly good tampo work, right down to the roundels and model badges (see grille). This is higher quality than should be expected in any $0.99 product.

Not perfect, but good enough for the price. MBX road trip really has some nice ones this year. The wrong Audis (WTF is wrong with that discord between the artwork and the actual car???), the Jag 140, the Beetle, Cayman...

I think I’ve got three or four more different ones. I’ll have to check the tubs and get back to you...
